Hollow Shaft Encoder

Below is a summary of the CP-3700 family of products. Data sheets with complete technical specifications are available at CP-3700 Series Data Sheet for the CP-3700 Incremental Sine/Cosine, and Incremental Digital. Our data sheets are in PDF format and may be viewed using Adobe Acrobat.

CP-3700 Incremental Sine/Cosine.

The CP-3700 is a sinusoidal "infinite resolution" encoder specifically designed for digitizing the waveform. The sine/cosine versions allow a high degree of interpolation because of the low distortion waveform for extremely accurate positioning and speed control. May be used with our CP-1064 64X Interpolator which provides as many as 256 measuring steps for each cycle.

Available resolutions include 2000 and 9000 cycles per revolution. Used with the CP-1064 mentioned above, resolutions as high as 2,304,000 measuring steps (almost 1/2 arc second!) is attainable.

The light source is a single light emitting diode, servo controlled for constant light output over time and temperature, the sensor is a monolithic silicon array.

CP-3750 Digital Incremental.

The CP-3750 series size 37 is an incremental encoder available with all standard resolution up to 18,000 cycles per revolution.

The light source is a single light emitting diode, servo controlled for constant light output over time and temperature, the sensor is a monolithic silicon array.
