CM-400 2-pole Brushless Limited Rotational Torquer.

The CM-400 Series is a two-pole brushless DC LRT with an integral optical encoder, designed for high-resolution scanning. Some features include a flat torque curve over a 115° angle, optional digital encoders with up to 16,384 counts per revolution and sine/cosine encoders with up to 6,000 A&B cycles, interpolatable to 36 million quadrature cycles, or 144 million measuring steps in a full 360° revolution.

The compact torquer and encoder package is built for extreme stiffness and to very tight tolerances for radial and axial play.

Applications include all high-precision limited-angle scanning applications, where sub-arc-second accuracy is desirable in a small package size. The pictures of the torquer include a concave mirror attached to the output shaft in a scanning mirror device.
