January 31, 2007 2:30 PM CHATSWORTH, CA--May 31, 2006--Allied Motion Technologies announces the release of its CM-300-VOX servo developer's kit, a development tool used to implement high resolution servo axes for positioning optical gratings or mirrors in medical instruments such as gas analyzers and chromatographs. Other applications include microscope positioning tables, spectrum analyzers, 3D scanners, and micro-manipulators. The CM-300-VOX kit comes complete with a dual-axis motion controller board with two motor drives, a CM-300 servo motor-encoder, power supply, cables, and software that includes support for MatLab & LabView, plus example applications. A second motor-encoder is an option. Position resolution and repeatability of 2.0 arc second, or better, are possible with this kit. The compact, square-format 1.5-inch (38 mm) servomotor combines a brushless DC motor and a high resolution sine/cosine encoder, and is capable of 31 mNm continuous stall torque and maximum torque up to 232 mNm. Set up takes less than ten minutes using the included cables. The controller board can interface to any PC with either an RS-232 or USB2.0 serial port.
